Azaka: Yes, yes. Good afternoon. It's time for the radio show. 
  
  Touko: Hey, Azaka. Can't you be more excited?
  
  Azaka: Even if you tell me that . . . 
  
  Touko: It's rude to our listeners. What are you going to do about that?
  
  Azaka: Touko-san, isn't it your fault that we're in this situation?
  
  Touko: Is that so?
  
  Azaka: Yes! 
  
  Touko: Hmm?
  
  Azaka: It was an event that happened on that fresh, sunny morning . . .

  [FLASHBACK BEGINS]
  (We can hear the chirping of birds in the background.)
  
  (A door opens.)
  
  Azaka: Good morning! Oh, Touko-san?
  
  Touko: (flustered) A-Azaka-san!
  
  Azaka: What's the matter? You look rough. 
  
  Touko: Nothing's wrong. 
  
  Azaka: Really? But what is with this weird feeling? Uhm, Touko-san?
  
  Touko: What is it? 
  
  Azaka: Is the Bounded Field around our office warped in some way?
  
  Touko: You've gotten sharp. 
  
  Azaka: It's not easily defined, but the air seems strange. Does that have to
  do with the distortion? . . . What's with the box?
  
  Touko: Oh no. You've seen it. It makes sense, as you're my disciple. 
  I guess I could say it's a long story . . . 
  
  (The box rustles, bangs, and moves.)
  
  Azaka: Touko-san, it's moving! 
  
  Touko: Damn it! 
  
  (The box explodes. Upbeat music plays.)
  
  Azaka: Touko-san, what on earth is this?
  
  Touko: It looks like I bought something troublesome again. 
  
  Azaka: What the heck is that box?
  
  Touko: It was something dug up that I found. It bent the Bounded Field because
  it has an alternate space inside. I was interested in the capacity of the space
  waves  inside, so to speak, and  . . .
  
  Azaka: So this was because of one of your impulses? It's not a long story at all!
  
  Touko: Don't put it like that. 
  
  Azaka: What do you intend to do with this? 
  
  Touko: (uncomfortable) I guess I'll put it in the storeroom . . . 
  
  Azaka: So you'll go on buying these outrageous things!? And what was that
  explosion? It made a mess of the office! 
  
  Touko: You're really being harsh today. Did you have a fight? 
  
  Azaka: Who would I be fighting? 
  
  Touko: Kokutou. 
  
  Azaka: I don't know him! Stop trying to change the subject! 
  
  Touko: So you got into a fight, then. 
  
  Azaka: From what I've seen, this isn't enough to damage your pride. 
  
  Touko: This has become quite a bother. 
  
  Azaka: Quite so. I won't be able to relax until you clean this up. 
  
  Touko: I don't know who, but someone stuck something weird inside this. 
  Don't you realize, Azaka?
  
  Azaka: What are you grumbling about? (walks over the door, tries to open it)
  It won't open! 
  
  Touko: I thought so. Opening the box meant exchanging our space for the 
  sealed space inside it. 
  
  Azaka: So we're sealed inside the space of the box? 
  
  Touko: It would be true to say that. 
  
  Azaka: Why would you buy something so dangerous!?
  
  Touko: Give me a break. 
  
  (A weird, electronic tone is heard.)
  
  Touko: Was that also there?
  
  Azaka: Stop impulsively buying suspicious items. 
  
  Touko: But isn't it okay? We can count on all the listeners who are
  hearing the broadcast. 
  
  Azaka: There are actually people listening!?
  
  Touko: I didn't think there'd be this many Azaka fans. 
  
  Azaka: (laughs embarrasedly) This is a complex feeling. 
  
  Touko: So we have to work really hard to get more people to listen in. 
  
  Azaka: I suppose so. 
  
  Touko: Then let's go, Azaka. 
  
  Touko x Azaka: Radio Kara no Kyoukai: The Garden of Listeners!
  
  Honda: Fujimura-san, this is the first time we meet. Good afternoon. 
  
  Fujimura: Good afternoon (giggles). 
  
  Honda: Welcome to Wave Radio Kara no Kyoukai. Congratulations. 
  
  Fujimura: Thank you very much. 
  
  Honda: With that out of the way, please say one or two encouraging things. 
  
  Fujimura: Encouraging . . . 
  
  Honda: Say it. 
  
  Fujimura: Ah yes. I got to read all of the original work. It had a really nice 
  world view. I was really glad to be a part of that. Azaka-chan pops up
  in a lot of it. 
  
  Honda: Like in Boukyaku Rokuon?
  
  Fujimura: We were talking about how much we were looking forward to
  Boukyaku Rokuon amongst ourselves. I wasn't the main character in the 
  overall story. So I approached it wondering how things was going to change.
  In the general text, Azaka's character isn't firmly established and there are
  a few parts that we fumbled with. I wondered how I was going to link those up. 
  
  Honda: The rest of the cast may feel the same way. 
  
  Fujimura: It's a difficult topic. It could be true for the others. 
  We move forward by changing. 
  
  Honda: Good luck. 
  
  Staff: This is sudden but I have a question for the two of you. 
  What was the most (deleted) thing for you this year?
  
  Fujimura: So that was the question. 
  
  Honda: In the middle of sleeping, I apparently yelled "kappa!". 
  
  Fujimura: If it's yelling, then it's not sleep-talking. I don't know what
  to say. 
  
  Honda: Be careful not to do that. 
  
  Fujimura: Thank you. 
  
  Honda: But maybe I am guilty of something. 
  
  Fujimura: Oh? 
  
  Honda: We were at the stage for Fukan Fukei. We were greeting
  and I said something incomprehensible. 
  
  Fujimura: That's absolutely fine. I don't remember what I said. 
  
  Honda: Really?
  
  Fujimura: Yes. 
  
  Honda: Everyone was really nervous. 
  
  Fujimura: Yes, we were. 
  
  Honda: Last night Sakamoto Maya-san and Suzumura Kenchi's next thing is
  going to be hard. I thought they'd abstain. 
  
  Fujimura: Yes, although maybe I should not say this. They were sighing. 
  Seriously. 
  
  Honda: Everyone's situation is harsh. They're trying hard to convey that. 
  
  Fujimura: Yes, but I couldn't say anything there. 
  
  Honda: (laughs)
  
  Fujimura: (Overthrow Ryougi Shiki! Shiki Eye-Witness Information Corner! )
  
  Touko: Azaka-san! 
  
  Azaka: Yes!
  
  Touko: It's time for Shiki Eye-Witness Information!
  Suprisingly, she pretended to be a hero with some children! 
  
  Azaka: (laughs)
  
  Touko: And she argued with them over who'd be the hero! 
  
  Azaka: (laughs) And if Shiki played the hero, would she remember
  to - 
  
  Touko: Oh, she'd get serious. 
  
  Azaka: And use the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception on the kids. 
  
  Touko: But she'd be outside the company then. 
  
  Azaka: (laughs) We can't let her do that. 
  
  Touko: We can't let her do that. (laughs)
  
  Fujimura: Only My Oniichan!

  Honda: This guy says he's writing to tell us that he's living alone. He is lonely,
  and he wants you to say a line. Three. Two. One. Nine.   
    
  Fujimura: (in Azaka's voice) Welcome home, Oniichan. You came home late - what have you been doing? I'm worried, so please start coming home early from tomorrow. 

  Honda: Hmm. 
  
  Fujimura: (laughs) It's really lonely if you won't say anything. 
  
  Honda: (deep voice) Is that how it is? 
  
  Fujimura: (laughs) "Is that how it is?" To whom is that addressed? 
  
  Honda: At first she sounds angry, but then at the end she sounds worried and sweet. 
  
  Fujimura: Don't seriously consider it, Touko-san. 
  
  Honda: Can't help it. I'm Touko. 
  
  Fujimura: This is embarrassing! It's embarrassing! 
  
  Honda: The sham keeps on going. 
  Here's the next line.  
  
  Fujimura: Okay. 
  
  Honda: Three. Two. One. Nine. 
  
  Fujimura: (Azaka's voice) Don't misunderstand me. I don't think about you, Niisan. 
  (normal voice) Tsundere. (laughs) An archetypal tsundere. 
  
  Honda: Okay, here's one from someone that loves Azaka-san. 
  
  Fujimura: Thank you. I'll work hard. 
  
  Honda: "This is the first time we meet. Good evening. This time, the words are -"
  Three. Two. One. Nine.
  
  Fujimura: (Azaka's voice) How disgusting! 
  (normal voice) Does this person really like Azaka? 
  
  Honda: What is disgusting?
  
  Fujimura: This person is a masochist, right? I bet he wants to be abused. 
  
  Honda: Really?
  
  Fujimura: Yes. 
  
  Honda: That's from reading between the lines? 
  
  Fujimura: Disgusting! It's unclean! That's what's written down. 
  
  Honda: What did Kokutou and Shiki do? 
  
  Fujimura: What was Azaka's beloved oniichan doing? 
  
  Honda: Azaka-chan is turning red. 
  
  Fujimura: Teach Me! Kara no Kyoukai!
  In Kara no Kyoukai, there's a very long analysis of Touko-san. 
  But off the record, were there times when you, Honda-san, 
  were confused or frustrated? And if you had a way to get over these,
  please share them with us. 
  
  Honda: There was. And there was a time when I had to regroup and try
  again. But I can't say what it was now . . . and it wasn't a problem on set. 
  How can I put it? One time, when I was giving an answer during an interview,
  I answered, but my copy of the original novels had gotten crowded with notes!
  
  Fujimura: It's amazing to write that many notes in novels! 
  
  Honda: When I first got them, I read them normally. Then when I got the script,
  I started writing notes in the novels. 
  
  Fujimura: The subject was that difficult. 
  
  Honda: The meaning of what they're saying might be, as Suzumura-san said,
  rather obvious, but it's full of difficult vocabulary.
  
  Fujimura: Yes. The opening has an unusual point of
  view - something obvious explained with a unique opinion. It opens up a 
  fresh new view. That's what I feel about Touko-san's words. 
  
  Honda: Listening to that makes me realize you're sharp. And that maybe I'm
  foolish! 

  Fujimura: Why are you saying that? Anyway, that's the feeling I got. 
  
  Honda: It cuts into things you don't have, so it takes time to be able to give
  that lecture.  
  
  Fujimura: You were cool! You showed off the highlights of Touko. 
  
  Honda:  If I can communicate that to everyone, it's good.  
  
  Fujimura: (laughs)
  
  Honda: Please watch it. 
  
  Fujimura: Yes, please see it! In regard to the movie, can you tell us a story
  like this? 
  
  Honda: I think you might already have realized this, 
  but in Fukan Fukei the cast was seven people. 
  
  Fujimura: Not that many. 
  
  Honda: Yes. Our strategy was to listen attentively! To be frank, 
  the studio was extremely quiet. 
  
  Fujimura: (laughs) But it wasn't brutal, was it? 
  
  Honda: No, we weren't influenced by the content of the story. 
  
  Fujimura: Kara no Kyoukai's story itself is very serious. It's likely everybody
  slipped into that mood, and that it might have had some effect. 
  
  Honda: It is a sad story. 
  
  Fujimura: And a lonely one. 
  
  Touko: Azaka? 
  
  Azaka: What is it? 
  
  Touko: We've been managing the radio by ourselves. 
  
  Azaka: Yes. 
  
  Touko: We've had a personal experience we normally couldn't have, and
  it was pretty nice. 
  
  Azaka: It was nice for me as well. 
  
  Touko: But! To become a truly great personality on the radio, you need to
  do it alone. 
  
  Azaka: What? 
  
  Touko: My time here is up. And with that -
  
  Azaka: Ehhh?
  
  Touko: I'll wish you luck with what remains-
  
  Azaka: No, that can't be right! 
  
  Touko: Don't worry. Someone else will come along, and a new guest
  will be called. 
  
  Azaka: How will they come into this box? 
  
  Touko: I dunno. 
  
  Azaka: You don't know. 
  
  Touko: Anyway. Adios, Azaka.
  
  Azaka: What!?
  
  Touko: I'm going to return to being an ordinary girl. 
  
  Azaka: You sound like you're retiring! 
  
  Touko: Master, I'll be looking forward to your activity! 
  Oh ha ha ha ha ha ha!
  
  Azaka: Touko-saaaan! Come back!

  Honda: What a strange feeling. 
  
  Fujimura: My impression of Touko-san changed again. 
  
  Honda: Did I really say all that?
  
  Fujimura: Yes, you did. But isn't she still okay? While I, on the
  other hand . . . 
  
  Honda: It was a little embarrassing. 
  
  Azaka: Why did I say those lines! And they were broadcast! 
  It's so embarrassing! 
  
  Touko: (evil chuckle) 
  
  Azaka: Touko-san?
  
  Touko: The author of this box is rather twisted. (punches the door)
  
  Azaka: Wait, Touko-san. 
  
  Touko: Looking at this as just a simple prank, my mood changed. 
  
  Azaka: Where are you going?
  
  Touko: Please forgive this behavior, and as Aozaki Touko, let me
  show you a more splendid Touko. 
  
  Azaka: You still want to keep on going!? Wait! 
  
  (The bell on the door jingles.) 
  
  Azaka: I got left behind again.
