I saw another of the special tourism taxis along the way. The driver was nearby and
granted my request to take pictures of the taxi.
I passed by some roads with distinctive railing. I believe I've seen these in one of the
Aqours PVs, but I'm not sure which ones.
On the way I came across some nice itasha, though I wasn't always ready to take
pictures.
Finally I got to Awashima Marine Park and got on the ferry to Awashima
Island.

The pink building here is Awashima Hotel, the real-life
model for the luxury Ohara Hotel. It's a resort and most of the cheaper hotel rooms go for over
$300 a night, which is far outside of my price range.
The deluxe suites go for even more.
I'm sure it's nice. Getting to the building is difficult as they only want guests who have reservations to show up.
Some photos people took of the hotel and its interior/exterior are here.
They anchored a boat that had been customized to look like Ohara Mari-chan's
personal cruiser. I bet it's shiny and fast.

KANAN'S DIVING SHOP
To the right of the dock you'll find the real-life model for
Matsuura Kanan-chan's diving shop. In real life it's a frog museum.
I think I see something behind the bannister.
Air tanks have been set up to mirror the look of how the place looked in the show.
From left to right are air tanks for the manager, Kanan-chan, and up to three guests.
They also made a replica of the swimfins and snorkel Kanan-chan uses on the job.
I'd be remiss in not mentioning the variety of frogs they had.
Time to move on to the next point.
Here's one of the stages for the penguin show as seen in the Teku Teku Aqours which
featured the marine park.

THE UPHILL BATTLE
And a little while away was the path to Awashima Shrine. The members of
Aqours used to jog up this extremely steep path to help them develop
the endurance to be school idols.
I didn't run, but I did go up the path. I would like to share the photos I took
along the way with you.
"Don't try to do do much, and make sure to take breaks."
"Good luck! Keep at it!"
I was sweating heavily as I climbed up the steep hill. Not only were the steps high,
they were uneven. I respect anyone who could run up this but I don't think it's a
great idea. It'd be too easy to slip and twist an ankle.
I finally made it to the top.
One of the fellow fans I had been walking with remarked that someone had left something
inside one of the lanterns. I thought it must have been some kind of prank, but it turned
out to be a Kotori-chan figure.
I took a lot of photos of anime ema at the shrine left behind by fellow
Love Live Sunshine fans.
The way back down was also rough and I made frequent use of the handrail.
I figured that even if I expired, I might have a chance to reincarnate as a
school idol who can bring happy smiles to everyone.
Nanaka Suwa, Matsuura Kanan-chan's voice actress, made a doodle and signed her
name on this board for the marine park.
This spot is where some members of Aqours played with sea lions during a part of the
Teku Teku Aqours specials.
This is as close as I can get to the fountain in front of Awashima Hotel.
In the anime, it's where Mari-chan first met Dia-chan and Kanan-chan.
Kanan-chan, Mari-chan, and Dia-chan had a very important conversation inside this tunnel.
The tunnel also had a special room that is off limits. Perhaps this is where the area's
collection of wines are stored.
Anchored away from the island was another ferry boat decked out in LLS wrapping.
I also found this large decoration near the sea lion performance spot. It had been
signed by many of the seiyuu from Aqours.
I was really tired and hungry, and the people I was walking with suggested we stop by
the gift shop to get something to munch on. I opted for some sakura-flavored soft serve.
The gift shop also had some hand-drawn art which decorated the walls.
The ticket office for the marine park also had some Aqours-related art.
This was to promote the mystery event they had been running.
I also found an Ohara Resorts and Hotels bus in the parking lot.
I found a bus stop that'd take me back to Numazu station.
And inside the station was a poster promoting the game app, which I continue to play.
I love these characters and being able to go on this journey
brought me closer to their world. I started rewatching the
show again and now I get to appreciate it in a different way.
This anime really is wonderful.
While this finishes the Love Live Sunshine tour, I do have more
unrelated photos I took in Numazu and
Uchiura, which you'll see in the future.
Thank you for looking at these photos, watching the videos,
listening to the mp3s, and enjoying the content. I share
this content for all of you.
