I returned to Numazu station and shot some more photographs before it
was time to go to the internet cafe. I came across another stand
for the Aqours stamp rally at the local Mos Burger.

Apparently some of the taxi drivers in the area can also take you to important
spots featured in the show and give you quite an explanation as they go.
I chose not to do that as I worried about what the final bill would be.

THE NEXT DAY

I woke up relatively refreshed after staying at the internet cafe again.
After all that hiking, it felt good to get into my booth, take off my shoes,
relax for a bit, start charging my gear, and then get a shower and a change
of clothes.

When the alarm sounded, I helped myself to a complimentary cafe au lait
with extra coffee mix. I also soaked a General Mills coffee for one
coffee teabag into it and let it steep to make it extra powerful.

I had some time before the first bus to Uchiura, so I stopped by a
konbini for something inexpensive to eat.

And soon enough, it was time for me to ride the bus.

The detective-themed wrapping on the bus is promoting a particular mystery-type event at
Awashima Marine Park. Unfortunately I did not arrive in time to partake in that event.
The road not taken . . .

I checked with the bus driver to confirm that the bus was bound for Izu Mito Sea Paradise.
It's marked on the google map
and is near quite a few locations we'll be going to next.

The sea park was featured in the Aqours "Koi ni Naritai Aquarium" PV. Due to budgetary limitations
I did not buy a ticket to see the inside - if I'd had more money I would have. I would have liked to
take photos of the interior, but it just wasn't in the cards. According to their information online,
the cost of admission is 2,200 yen.
Next time I'm in the area I'll definitely make a stop and get the missing photos I need to complete this
album.

Here's how it looks in real life.

Here's yet another bus with LLS wrapping. This one has signatures from the voice actresses
who played the characters.

This is also an "idling stop" system bus which automatically cuts the engine when the
bus comes to a full stop. This is to encourage drivers to stop the engine instead of leaving
it running while idle.

On to our next location!

Not too far away is Mito Beach, which has appeared in many episodes.

I should mention something - Riko-chan tried to jump off the pier in the first episode, but
they don't want people to go onto the pier unless they're going to get on a boat.

One place that turned out to be a little disappointing for me was the real-life
version of Chika-chan's house. I thought the staff there was brusque.
I'm also sorry for not being able to get more of the real life spot in frame;
someone was trimming a tree to the right and I had to move in closer to crop
him out of the picture. In real life it's called the Yasudaya Ryoukan.

But I'd rather stay positive. Let's maximize and roll out of there.

Along the way to my next destination, I passed by a certain
7-11. In the anime it was a generic convenience store but in real life, it's a 7-11.

In fact, it was the same 7-11 where Yohane-chan tried to win a lucky drawing (and failed).

You-chan and Chika-chan also had a conversation in the parking lot of this convenience store.
I would have liked to take some photos of the interior to match the shots from
the anime, but I can't just start taking photos or videos inside a commercial
building without permission. I did, however, buy some cold beer inside to help
cool me off as I was starting to feel the heat.

This place is Shougetsu. The second years went there during their respective Teku Teku
special. I really wanted to try some of their food (especially the caramel cheese tart!)
but they were closed on the day I visited. Shouganai.

Not too far away from the 7-11 is Raikoji Temple, the real-life model for
Hanamaru's temple/home in Love Live Sunshine.

The way to Raikoji is marked. Look for this sign.

According to what I read online, it's a temple devoted to the Jodo sect of Buddhism.

I'd finished with the main attractions near Mito Sea Paradise.
It was now time for me to cross to the next section, which I did
by going through this tunnel.

There were narrow footpaths to the left and right sides of the tunnel.
They could accomodate a person on foot but I strongly recommend against
trying to use a bicycle while on them - the risk of losing one's balance
and falling in front of a fast-moving car is too great. Take it easy,
be careful, and mind your footing. You'll get through it if you follow
these steps.

I continued on my journey. The next place to visit was
Sannoura General Information Office.

The interior was a shrine to Love Live Sunshine and Aqours. The outside didn't
hide the fact either.

I really love the costumes the group is wearing in this photo. They originally appeared
in a fallen angel/goth loli-themed PV the group did to drum up interest.

These were complete sets from the stamp rallies.

The next location I went to was extremely close by.

Behind the General Information Office is the building that became the model for the
Kurosawa's house. The people inside set up a barricade and the staff at the
General Information Office warned me that they don't want univited people to
come onto their property. I quietly took some photos from a distance and then
went on my way.
