You can almost always click on a photo here to view it in full size.

Before I get too into this section, I'd like to share a briefing file with you. Knowing how
to use the map is fine, but you should also be aware of some other things. Please
check a look at the video below. If you want to fullscreen the video, you can do so by
clicking on the bitchute logo within the frame.

Now that you're done with the video, I'll go through some of the key Akihabara locations from Love Live and Love Live Sunshine
that are featured on my google map.
There will be photos with notes, commentary, etc. This area was shown in both Love Live and
Love Live Sunshine. I'm more familiar with and more fond of Love Live Sunshine, so many of the
screencaps I'm going to share will be from Love Live Sunshine.

Some of the more hardcore Love Live OGs are probably angry that I like Love Live Sunshine more
that Love Live. I don't think it really has to be a problem if we accept that people will sometimes
have different opinions. To each his own, right?

Now with that out of the way, let's get to visiting the real-life locations from Love Live and
Love Live Sunshine. We will begin our tour in Akihabara.

After Aqours finally made it to Akihabara, the girls were overwhelmed with how different Tokyo was
from their quiet country setting.

Here's how the area from that scene looks in real life. The easiest way to get to this point is from JR Akihabara Station.
Exit via the Electric Town or Denkigai exit and all you have to do is look around.

In the same area.

The real-life version of the building Chika-chan was standing in front of. It's one of the most well-known
landmarks in Akihabara. It's full of anime shops, so it might be worthwhile to check a look at what's
inside it.

comment: This next part is Akihabara UDX on the map. You'll need to climb a flight of
stairs to get up to this point the way Chika-chan does in the anime. This area was listed as UTX in
the original Love Live anime and was an academy where A-Rise, a heavy hitter among school idols,
trained intensely.

Chika-chan came across this area and watched a monitor
which showed the results of the Love Live event.

Here's what it looks like in real life.

Time to go to the next spot on our Love Live and Love Live Sunshine tour.

The original Love Live anime had a maid cafe where Minami Kotori worked part-time.

The cafe exists in real life. It's marked on the map as Cure Maid Cafe.

They do not hide the fact that the cafe was featured in Love Live.

I had to wait in a long line to get in, but once I entered the place I had a nice bowl of pasta for lunch.
Unlike many other maid cafes, this place has a more quiet and peaceful atmosphere, and feels more like
a regular cafe except for the long maid dresses the waitresses were wearing. I wish I could have taken
photos of the interior of the cafe, but I was only able to get permission to take a picture of my lunch
and that was it. Sometimes Cure Maid Cafe has collaboration events with particular anime series, as
they did when I got there. They had framed images of things from an online social mmorpg and played
background music from it while the staff worked.
Cospatio, a cosplay specialty shop, is in the same building and could be of interest to people
who either buy or hand-make their own cosplay outfits.

Next on the map will be Kanda Shrine, which is of interest not only due to the shrine itself, but also
the stairs which Chika-chan and the rest of Aqours visited. The members of µ's used to jog up and down
the stairs to build up their endurance. You'll find the stairs marked on the map as
Love Live Running Stairs.

Go up the stairs and you'll be at Kanda Shrine.

Here's the sign you'll see at the top of the stairs.

The shrine has a monument to Zenigata Heiji, a fictional policeman who defeated criminals with thrown coins.
Zenigata Tsugiko, one of the police inspectors from Genius 4 in Milky Holmes, is named in
honor of this character. I didn't know about this feature of the shrine until I
was back in the States, unfortunately.

To say that this area is a Love Live and Love Live Sunshine holy spot is certainly correct.
The members of Aqours encountered their primary rivals, Saint Snow, several times at this shrine.

Now on to my photos of Kanda shrine. The shrine itself has been rebuilt and/or restored on multiple locations.
It was rebuilt in 1935 with concrete and was thereby able to last through the firebombing of WWII, unlike
many other historical structures in Tokyo.

One of the dieties enshrined in Kanda Jinjya is Daikokuten, a god of darkness and prosperity.
Depictions of the diety often have him seated on bags of rice. Other deities enshrined in Kanda Jinjya
include Ebisu, the god of fishermen and luck, and the malevolent demigod Taira no Masakado. In
life Taira no Masakado led a force of insurgents against the central government of Tokyo, and
after his death he became a demigod due to the respect people had for his revolt and the fear
of what would happen if his spirit was unappeased. If Taira no Masakado is unappeased and
disrespected, misfortune and natural disasters will arrive in time.
The legendary final resting place of Taira no Masakado's head is near the Imperial Palace.

Kanda Jinjya has certainly benefited from the influx of Love Live fans.

Kanda Jinjya also has a collaboration event promoting Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? They were selling
straps for the characters. I wanted to get a Kafuu Chino strap for my bag, but they were sold out.
The staff also seemed to realize that they had not put together enough merch to satisfy the tremendous
demand for the character.
