As you walk from place to place, keep an eye out for incidental
little details. I recognized this road with the mirrors from when
Chika-chan told Riko-chan to enter the piano recital. It's very close
to the Sannoura General Information Office.

This stone marker appeared in the episode when Mari and Kanan
reconciled.

Mari-san traces the way you'll go to find the stone marker in the show.

If you've been following along on the map, you've probably guessed that I'm going
to the real life version of the school Aqours attends. You'd be right.

PIT STOP ALONG THE WAY

I came across a small shop along the way and bought a can of
Numazucha (green tea made in Numazu) to beat the heat. Stay hydrated!

I continued on my journey and went through a tunnel.

Finally it was time for me to head on over to the real-life
school used as a model for Uranohoshi Jogakuen.

Before I walk you through how to get there, I think it's good
for me to emphasize something.

In real life it's a regular public junior high school. It's very important for you
to heed the warning the staff took the time to write and post here.
Read it.

Ignoring the warning would be dumb.

With that warning out of the way, let me write out how to use the google map here.
When I was using it, the google map app kept wanting me to take shortcuts through
people's yards to get to the school. You don't have to do that - and in fact, don't.
These directions will take you right to the school.

Once you get onto this road, just keep going straight.

I can't blame folks for fishing here because it's a great spot.
You are almost there. Just keep following the same road.

You'll see this sign on a pole as you continue down the road.

Congrats! It's not much farther. There are two ways to get to the school from here.

You can take these stairs up and then follow another road, which I recommend.

You can also keep walking straight on the road to take the slope you've seen in the
anime. It's pretty steep.

I might have tried to go up the slope if I had bicycles like the girls do in
the show.

The stairs leading to the school are a little twisty but they will lead you to the
road you want. You can either take the slope or walk up the stairs near the bus stop sign.

The school is the very first bit of background scenery we see after the OP ends in
the first episode. I encountered another photographer who was snapping shots with a
telephoto lens. There were other parts of the school that appeared in the
anime but I was satisfied with just capturing the front of it. That's also something
I often see as my main background art for the game.

THE HOME STRETCH

I had reached most of the places I wanted to visit on foot. I was tired, my feet were
hurting from all the walking I'd done over the past day and a half, and as I looked over my map I thought
about simply calling it a day.

Actually no. I still had more places to visit.

The next place was another three miles away, and I'd be going there on foot
as usual.

There's no chill.
